Welcome to Junior Yoga, an extra-curricular school yoga program specially crafted for children! Our classes are designed to introduce kids to the wonderful world of yoga in a way that is both age-appropriate and engaging.
Here's what we offer:
Age-Appropriate Yoga Fundamentals: Each class is tailored to suit the learning abilities of children, ensuring they grasp the basics of yoga in a fun and interactive manner.
Weekly Themes for Fun and Learning: Every week, we explore a new theme, making each class a fresh and exciting experience. Themes range from nature-inspired poses to story-based yoga adventures.
Focus on Breathing and Movement: We emphasize the importance of breath and movement, teaching kids how to synchronize their breathing with physical postures. This not only enhances their yoga practice but also helps in calming their minds.
Mindfulness Activities: Mindfulness is an integral part of our program. We engage in simple yet effective mindfulness exercises that teach children how to stay present and aware.
Building Strength and Flexibility: Through various yoga poses, children will naturally build strength and flexibility, which is crucial for their growing bodies.
End-of-Program Celebration: At the end of the 9 weeks, we have a special yoga celebration class where students can celebrate what they have learned.
This program is perfect for children aged 5-12 years and requires no prior yoga experience. Join us in this exciting journey to explore yoga, where fun, movement, breathing, and mindfulness come together to create a wholesome after-school activity!
